This actually seems more like something you'd see making fun of conservatives than a joke conservatives would come up with

Their only good content is when they're making fun of themselves and it happens like once every three years

Under Communism, you will be required to submit self-criticism on a mandatory periodic basis.

This kind of shit isn’t surprising, occasional exercises in self awareness and depreciation are a clever way for people to come off as more good faith than they actually are. Often people in power will preformatively cop to their own faults and hypocrisies in order to lend themselves an air of humility.

They also had one that went "Holy Spirit Unable to Descend on Congregration Due to Broken Fog Machine" which is genuinely pretty funny to me

They ridicule Christians all the time on their site

      How does nobody notice this

I know they had a change in ownership that shifted them stronger in the direction of MAGA/owning the libs whereas before they were more on the "satire of evangelical Christianity from evangelicals" sort of vibe.

BUT THE HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS OF HYRULE THAT CAME OUT IN THE 90S SAID THE PROTAGONIST MUST ALWAYS BE A WHITE CODED BOY NAMED LINK AND HE MUST RESCUE ZELDA FOREVER AND EVER :wojak-nooo: :thermianargument:

I unironically like that the CD-i game Wand of Gamelon not only gave Hyrule some object permanency instead of blowing it up/flooding it/resetting it yet again somehow, but that Zelda was playable even if the game was janky and ridiculous.

Sometimes it was ridiculous in a good way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M859Lp5_e8

There was an incredibly cool concept pitched by the author of Dresden Codak for a Zelda-as-Heroine title that got so popular fans started making their own pixel art and cosplay

The pitch had it all, from variant combat styles and puzzle ideas to a very steam-punk-esque fashion styling to a boutique magic system. Just incredibly cool all the way around, and if Nintendo ever picked the idea up and ran with it the game would be a classic overnight.

Genuinely amazed they didn't slide an "Identifies as an Attack Helicopter" joke in before the end.
