I think it isn't about getting us off but to slow down our agitation by disorganizing and discrediting. In that sense, keeping communities dispersed makes sense. CTH and GZD have been banned when they started gaining momentum. Normies won't move to lemmygrad because they aren't commies yet, and making extra accounts on other sites is an extra step that'll stop a decent number of people who'd get pipelined by finding some memes relatable.
