I think this is the first Amy Schumer joke I've ever actually heard and I can kinda sympathize with people who hate her now

    Kind of

    Sort of

    Not really

That's not the worst joke of all time; the worst joke of all time is:

"A dog, having walked into an inn, did not see anything, and so he said: 'Shall I open this one?'"

Ha Ha, it's funny because a terrible accident occurred to do poor working conditions and a human being died for absolutely nothing.

I think more celebrities should Barry Lyndon themselves to fuck up the thin veneer of respectability and propriety of the rich and famous, its pretty funny.

Also there seems to be a need for comedians to get the shit kicked out of them sometimes, like what the fuck you're making a joke out of someone that actually got shot and died, if Amy Schumer made this joke in public she definitely would deserve to get punched, obviously not by Alec Baldwin but by someone, just getting righteously mad about it and going "how dare you" clearly isnt working and actually gets you labeled a pussy for taking jokes that seriously, at least this way theres some consequence to them even if you get called an oversensitive pussy.

"how dare you" was ruined for at least a generation by Greta Thunberg

      nobody can use it now

Considering the Oscar's is an event for film industry people, there's a high chance that friends of the woman who died were in the crowd. Which makes it that much more baffling that should would want to tell this joke so badly she'd tell everyone about it after the fact. Just an outstanding unforced error on her part
