it's so sad when people are objectively bad at what they think are their areas of expertise / strengths.
Listened to the Qanon Anonymous about Clarence Thomas's wife recently and I think that the ruling class in general might be incompetent and as stupid as this guy.
Feels like they just have so much inertia and power that it maintains itself. I'm sure there are some clever ones also but man a lot of em are dumb.
Yeah it's been said before that because of the extreme nepotism up there, a hell of a lot of them are complete failsons but get the reigns of vast swathes of power and influence, but it all stays proped up by this juggernaut machine of capitalism/imperialism/fascism.
Some of the mistakes made by ruling elites in recent history:
- US Neocons selling their mythology for political capital - because after a while you get people who earnestly believe that shit somehow winding up in relatively powerful positions
- Resisting and quashing most death taxation - because most people handed a bunch of capital without even the veneer of having worked for it will make incredibly bad decisions
Essentially having people in power who've internalized the untruths about reality that were peddled or exploited for gain as being real. It's the most likely way that the whole system gets driven to crisis after crisis.
yeah, never forget that there are thousands of people salaried to make sure hell is maintained
Which of the following do you consider more important for the Dies Committee to investigate — Communist activities in this country, or Nazi activities in this country?
Communist activities................. 70%
Nazi activities....................... 30
:amerikkka:
i am kidding but i can never pass up an opportunity to drag belgium
it was their fault the germans waltzed in anyway fukin galaxybrains actually expected the germans to respect their neutrality
What were they going to do to stop the Germans? I don't recall Belgium every being one of the great military powers.
let the French and English in while the nazis were doing Poland.
the airborn attack on Eben Emmael would'nt of been a checkmate if several allied divisions were right there to respond.
the way it went is the Belgians only let the allies in after the nazis breached the border so it was a mad dash to the Belgian border forts instead of the germans attacking a prepared line
the Maginot line (less the ardennes) was to link up with thw Belgian border forts and make a solid line but the Belgian return to neutrality borked the whole thing up
e: and in case it seems like im bullying a tiny country, they literally tried to do neutrality against a more aggressive germany than ww1, despite the fact everyone knew they'd do the same play as ww1 because of the Maginot.
the king who made this decision is so fucking unpopular (and collaborated during occupation) they almost abolished the office
Maybe Pearl Harbor wasn't the worst thing to happen to this country.
Dictatorship, sanctions, corruption, illicit finance
We get it, you're CIA.
The replies are surprisingly not awful. At least in so far as pointing out that Hitler did indeed have enablers in the US and UK.
Or, you know, the American Nazi rallies in such places as Madison Square Garden.
i mean, i was just going by UK lol, yanks wouldn't have even fought the nazis if it wasn't for pearl harbour lmao
or Henry Ford, or Prescott Bush, , or William Randolph Hearst, and on and on and on
THERE WAS LITERALLY A US NAZI ORGANIZATION ADVOCATING FOR ALLIANCE WITH GERMANY RIGHT UP UNTIL PEARL HARBOR YOU FUCKING GOLDFISH OH MY FUCKING GOD SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT THE EVERLOVING FUCK UP
“World War II is the only historical event Americans know about and they don’t really even know about that.”
jesus motherfucking christ, where to even start with this horseshit
William Randolph Hearst has entered the chat
Hitler did have a lot of supporters in the US. He also saw how the Americans supported eugenics, for example. IBM aided Hitler to computerize his genocide tabulations. Bayer now owns Monsanto.
Someone go ask if he's talking about Ford Motor Company, IBM, and Coca Cola.
US companies helped the Nazis many times. Some extremely wealthy and prominent Americans were vocal Hitler supporters. Henry Ford comes to mind.
This shit is going to gaslight me into complete insanity. I guess we're just outright ignoring history then!
