Watching all you young folk potentially dying from unknown horrors caused by micro plastics while I get taken out by something regular like cancer or heart failure.

Consolation prize - rich people have to eat and breathe too, so they'll suffer from ubiquitous micro-plastic pollution too!

At least until they're fired from the Large Adult Slingshot into Central Park. Far more humane to end their suffering quickly, right?

“average person has 0.69 microplastics per gram of lungs" factoid actualy just statistical error. average person has no microplastics. Plastics Georg, who lives in cave & huffs over 10,000 liters of microplastics each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Shit like this is exactly why those anti-vaping YouTube ads are so annoying. Like yeah, metals in your lungs aren't good for you but even if I avoid all of that I still have this inescapable bullshit.

This makes me want to vomit. Which unfortunately would do nothing to expel the poison that is slowly accumulating in my organs. I cannot prevent it, I cannot stop it, I probably can't even slow it down. This is horrifying.

Sometimes I wonder whether stuff like this is why I've had mental and physical health problems all my life.

At this point I'm mostly interested in knowing whether there is any way to extract some of this garbage from our bodies. Presumably we're already riddled with the stuff.

true but still, higher levels = more bad

just bc i got 1 x-ray and i'm fine doesn't mean the x-ray tech doesn't need to wear a leaded vest
