It’s funny because when he got elected, he was really anti China, pro west, going to capitulate to India, even delay the cpec for few years. Now he’s extremist, enemy of democracy and India. You knew he was in the CIA's cross hairs when he had that meeting with Putin (terrible scheduling ahead of time), right after Russia launched their attacks on Ukraine. He was openly threatened by the US embassy when he refused to condemn Russia. Pakistan is sometimes called China's Israel, but it's unfortunate, sections of the Pakistani establishment have always been willing to do the US' bidding, from their fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan to the War on Terror. A lot of the Pakistani elites have family living in the US and plan on retiring there, so they are easily bought off.
Two of their lifelong political leaders (Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif) are literally the 5th and 7th richest Pakistanis in the world-- the country has been plain looted for decades, and will now continue to be.

I see a lot of people assuming Imran Khan was correct in saying the US wanted him out.
Do we have any evidence of this other than his word? For instance, is the opposition more US friendly? Have other parties talked about derailing BRI or buying F-35s or something?
Edit: I guess I could see the US doing this cause chaos even if the opposition to Khan were equally anti-western. But, I'm still curious for evidence

Khan is a fucking liberal, a Soc-dem at best if you’re being generous but he gave us hope. I for one had hope that this man is looking out for my country, for the common man, for the worker. His crime for which he was ousted? He dared to not go to the IMF, but the army forced him, he dared to try and give Pakistan an independent foreign policy away from the slavery of the west but how dare he.
