As a Texan, have you tried a nutri-grain bar? It contains wheats, oats, and corn, the happenings of a cookie, from where I'm from.

I'm shocked that anything Texan would encourage life but I'm happy for you

I wish I could find bread thick and wide enough to make texas toast-like garlic bread out of but I can never find anything better than like a fucking unsliced challah at my local harris teeter. Truly I live in an example of communism.

The namings kinda weird but some are long and thin baguettes while others are rounded and more oval, you can get some pretty big slices from those I think

Think you're talking about like country loaves; which yeah I've done before - but idk there's something about getting a processed pre-sliced bag of 'texas' toast and making garlic bread out of that. it's depravity at its worst but it tastes so good

hence my moaning about not being able to find fresh bread that can be viably sliced/made into texas toast D: You've inspired me to start looking online for bread makers
