      Yes, Walt Disney was really big on planned communities. EPCOT was supposed to be the city of tomorrow. There's a Disney town called Celebration and it's just what you think it is. Moreover Disney has jurisdiction over the land the Disneyworld sits on.

      What can I say, people really liked Disney back when Walt was alive. The evil piece of shit Michael Eisner took over in the 80s and it went downhill fast after that.

      Disney World, not Disneyland, but yes. They get to write local laws, run their own emergency services, and do most of the other things local governments can do like build roads, power plants, etc.

        Disneyland in California also has crazy influence on the government of Anaheim and receives water with a cushy deal as well as directing tax laws. But it does it in the liberal way, instead of Florida's corporate quasi-autonomy.
