Probably the most common talking point about trans women prisoners is how they will r*pe cis women prisoners, and now they can't get mad about that so instead they're just up in arms over the fact that a judge ordered the Bureau of Prisons to cover this medically necessary surgery.
Like you can hear the whooshing go in one ear and out the other as they :frothingfash: because not only is a criminal getting healthcare on their dime, but a trans criminal.
The combination of the two issues just totally broke their brains because in the former case they hate trans women by pretending to give a shit about taking care of criminal cis women, and since that requirement is technically satisfied, they hate that a criminal woman is:
being taken care of

I always tell people the overlap between the trans experience and ableist experience. Both are used as justifications for not providing healthcare to the many on the basis that the few are "greedy" with their desire to hate their lives less.
I've also been talking with a black woman whos a friend of mine about how trans women and black women have similar experiences. Both are seen as aggresive, masculine, greedy/needy, and expendable to both the state and women's movements.
Supporting trans people helps everyone. It's so blatantly obvious that anyone who cares for black people, disabled people, anyone without healthcare, should stand with trans people. Women with masculine features, women with pressure to be feminine, short men, men with small penises, men with feminine features. Everyone wins when trans people are taken care of.
That's straight white dudes generally seeing both black women and (obviously) trans women as being Too Masculine. Women who haven't been groomed to learn that submissive acting placation of men will be your path to comfort and wealth. Black women and trans women need to assert themselves to survive which goes against what men want women to be. They also think black people should be doubly subservient so take any attitude as double the offense and that trans women are men who can't hack being Sigma. It's a weird perverse mindset to live in, but black and trans women occupy a very similar space in the general white straight narrative

Unfortunately yes, the right knows it's fully lost the culture war on homosexuality and has latched on to trans folks as the next issue that it feels can rile up bigoted feelings in a large portion of western populations.
Fortunately similar to gay rights it seems we can expect subsequent generations to be more and more accepting (that is not an invitation to be libs and do nothing to help because we expect things to magically improve over time)
Fascists doesn't give s flying fuck about anything than their own supremacy. It is not a consistent worldview, it is whatever affect makes them feel better than people who are not them. Everything else is just interchangeable ad hoc opinions. Some subhuman gets medical care? Now we hate trans people! Immigrant communities have trouble with homophobia? This just shows how primitive and evil they are!
Being in a body that makes you feel normal is a right. Not a luxury. That's not something you take from a person.
