The only federal democrat running for POTUS to throw a bone to trans people was Hillary Clinton. Biden did nothing while he was in power, but many of the reforms Clinton did did in fact help trans people. As SoS, she verified that trans people could change gender on their passports and use them to get jobs. This was huge because it bypassed many terrible state guidelines that made it impossible for trans people to get a job without outing themselves. It has likely saved some people's lives.

Compare this to Biden's track record. He supported DOMA. He increased police presence, which naturally impacts trans people poorly. I've had a cop reach for his gun on me once, he was surprised when he checked my ID and realized I was trans / lying about my identity. I was just eating food in a fucking park minding my own business.

I voted for Hillary because she did something tangible for the trans community. Biden is a nod to the right-wing Southern Democrat part of the party, whereas Hillary at least tried to make a show on domestic policy. Both obviously suck ass on foreign politics, and that combined with domestic policy is why I'm voting Green.

Yeah, I reluctantly voted for her too, this time is totally different. Biden is basically fascist light while also giving them an enemy in power to rally against. The same backlash to Obama being the first black president will be even harder when it's Kamala the woman of color who is also a cop as VP. Obviously I would never actually vote for Trump but I couldn't bring myself to vote for Biden (especially since I live in CA and it doesn't even matter how I vote in the presidential election).

Yeah I want to vote PSL but they're not on the ballot in all states so I'm probably going green to push for that 3%.

i think the greens have something that could be better than the KSCM if they use their funding on tangible things rather than solely electoral stuff once they hit 3%

you might also find it amusing that there is a joke from our town and it is that the closer you get to the poles the more communist you feel

the joke is more that the poles do not like communists, vehemently so

this is coming from a town where the chief of police is a communist, and so are the majority of councilpeople

Sounds wonderful. Does the "closer to the Poles" joke have the same double entendre in Czech? Poles = polls, I mean.

kinda, not really though. polak is pole in czech. pol is pole.

yeah. kscm tries with that but the right wing faction is in charge of the party right now and it sucks. there are a few individuals in office that actually have read socialist literature and know that theyre talking about. my rep specifically is very pro-lgbt, wrote the damn bills, has read shit, and always has his bills watered down by dicks in the legislature. the city council is solidly red and dual power is being built but i think our city is the outlier there...

kscm has their own aoc who sounds like a complete moron when talking about socialism in any real sense and she is unfortunately quite popular among the right portion.

not the best. i blame it mostly on how feckless the leadership can be at times. there are obviously good reps and bad reps. theres around 2000 communists holding office in all of czechia out of ~60,000 seats, to put it into perspective. generally mountainous regions that were invaded by more than the nazis are the most communist. coal working seems to make you a commie too.

the cssd, the social democrats, have roughly the same number of seats total. these are the only really left parties in the country. they both allied with the centrists that have some weird populist policies (ANO) and are in government with them. ano could maybe be described as keynesian, however their leader is one of the richest men in czechia.

we have a white aoc-esque figure in katerina konecna in the kscm and shes said a lot of dumb shit that doesnt connect with workers that well, but does connect with radlibs. the central leadership is right wing in comparison to the general party. my current reps are pretty rad though.
