They're missing the 6th column at the end for Piracy where every row is ticked and it's FREE

Coins are earnable currency in the 'anniversary' mode to unlock in-game museum stuff like concept art, and replace the lives slot in the HUD. There are infinite lives in anniversary mode; only classic mode has lives.

It does, the table is just really stupid and confusing. The "Start Dash Pack" comes with the "Pre-order Digital Delux Edition" and fills in those gaps.

Perhaps they are testing the waters to see what consumers would do if the deluxe editions of games no longer included everything, while maintaining plausible deniability.

Sorry what got me was the character animations. I was playing a forza game and those were some of the bonuses in game, different animations for your avatar

I wish this was being fortnited. Weekly or monthly patches that add new levels and a battlepass that gives customization options for beating those levels would be a product worth considering, at any rate.

And eventually they'll make it so that you can actually control your character's movement with an input device if you purchase the super duper deluxe edition :isaac-pog:

The revised graphic on https://origins.sonicthehedgehog.com/ makes a little more sense.

The graph layout is just needlesssly confusing and redundant and just screams "salaryman drafting things in Excel at the last minute".

There are too many mistakes to pick at with this, but what it's trying to communicate is that if you pre-order either edition, you get the start dash pack which is:

    • 100 bonus coins
    • Early unlock for mirror mode
    • Letterbox background

If you get the standard edition without pre-order, you'd need the premium fun pack to be 'content complete'. You don't need the start dash pack in this case as mirror mode is unlockable, and the coins are consumables that you earn in game anyway.

If you get the deluxe edition without pre-order, you'd only need the start dash pack for the letterbox background to be 'content complete'.

The only sensible thing here is the Michael Jackson music which is presumably seprated as a DLC so royalties are only paid on that specific DLC's sales. You either add it as DLC to your standard order, or get the deluxe edition at any point.

But, the whole thing is designed to get you to say "fuck it, I'll just pre-order buy the deluxe edition". Classic price discrimination.

The fact that I typed any of this out is proof enough that this is a load of shit.

Just wait for the fitgirl repack.

It isn't a revised graphic - it's six graphics you flip through like reddit gallery post. Makes more sense but they're still toting "animated main menu" as a feature worth buying the digital deluxe edition for.

Oh wow so it changed again? When I was making my comment it was pretty much the same as your original post but with some additional clarity on what you get with the pre order.
