It's a good thing the lack of pandemic restrictions has totally saved the economy leading to unprecedented capital growth and prosperity for all!
government pours infinite money into corporations
"Look how good the economy is!"
Oh they finally say a million have died? They finally admit it? So that probably means there's at least like 200,000 + that they aren't counting still.
Try a million. They aren't counting excess death, just reported COVID deaths.
They rolled it back right before we hit a million because reasons.
PANTS ON FIRE - Estimated covid deaths in the United States are 996,000 to >2.5 million, depending on how you count excess death numbers. Because no one can really know for sure, we rate this claim Five Pinocchios!
the watchword of the COVID-19 pandemic has been "You're on your own." It's an uncanny, strange feeling to be walking around knowing that there's a health crisis that only a few people seem to care about and talk about, meanwhile there's zero leadership, and a neoliberal personal-preference approach to safety. Twilight Zone vibes
Looking back I'm surprised Trump just didn't straight up announce at the onset, look - a lot of you people are going to die. But that's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make.
I mean does anybody not understand that at this point? They knew what would happen. It's not like Diamond Joe is doing anything differently. Not a single thing!
Flames. Flames down the side of my face.
yeah, that certainly is the policy, even though it may not be stated explicitly. (Although remember when Biden said "there is no federal solution to covid?"). Enough people have come to expect that the government won't do jack shit for them--and/or have internalized the ideology that it's GOOD the government won't do jack shit
I don't think it's possible to get liberals to care about covid any more. Even if impeachment results in a trump presidency after the midterms, liberals will respond to trump claiming victory over covid by ignoring the death toll and complaining that he's just coasting off of biden's accomplishments.
:wojak-nooo: it wasn't Biden! It was.... Someone else! Yeah! It was probably Bernie Sanders!
