mark my words but Gaza is going to be the model. push marginalized populations into dense urban ghettos. then use the military to eradicate them when some frustrated group dares to fight back

it would be like the DS9 Bell Riots but instead the U.S. military carpet bombs the Sanctuary zones. then we realize we are in the mirror universe

Four years from now: "Listen, folks, I've been in talks with my Republican colleague Joe "I'll never move an inch on the corporate tax rate" Bing and if we support the legislation that will allow for the building of slave labor death camps for undocumented migrants, the homeless, and unemployed nonwhites then in the next legislative session the republicans will support our efforts to increase the corporate tax rate by 1% in a show of bipartisanship."

Looking at their track record so far when faced with the GOP pushing extreme views, they'll probably advance a bill that legalizes killing documented migrants too.

This bill already has that! It's actually not strictly about mifrants but extending castle doctrine in Arizona to make it legal to kill anyone in your property, regardless if they're any threat or even remotely close to you.

Surely this will be written in a way that's bound to backfire and get everyone killing their neighbors.

they'll manage to legally imply that all people must carry identification at all times and that anyone shot dead while not carrying ID will be affected by some unholy combo of this and castle doctrine

that is, until a cracker is shot

I'll just say there's a word from Arabic that's in English language dictionaries and it starts with an "i". I don't know why I'm sharing that piece of trivia.

Gonna be real funny in a decade or two when the heat gets too high and the Colorado gets sucked dry and everyone in Arizona is fleeing an unlivable dust bowl hoping their neighbors take pity.

Granted, consequences never hit those who deserve them most but one can dream.
