I tried picking it up after Arcane. Every champion was more frustrating to play against than the last and the community was as toxic as the memes suggest. I had a bad time. I love everything Riot makes except the games
The problem with mobas that have been out this long is they have to keep releasing characters like a drip line of morphine to keep people interested and it results in a ton of bloat. New players are then tasked with gaining at least a passing familiarity with all 150+ characters skill sets because that's essentially half the game, if you don't know what the other guy does you're going to have a bad time. I haven't played in like a decade but I would frequently use characters that were widely considered bad or had low play rates in certain roles because people weren't experienced on how to counter them.
Fun fact: this is fighting games in a nutshell also. In the online leader boards for Injustice: Gods Among Us I was actually in the top 10 consistently for that games prime, and the only Green Arrow main in the top 100.
Playing a low tier character taught me a lot and it felt really good bopping flowchart Manhunters or Aquamens but man...as soon as I got matched with forever king or wound cowboy or anyone who bothered to lab the matchout out where I couldn't bullshit gimick my way through it....Arrow life was rough.

It's pretty fun if you have group of 4/5 to play with, otherwise that shit is cancerous
Eh, it just makes you hate your friends instead of randoms
Yeah mobas just aren't fun.
