What is going on with TERFs why are they mad at male animals?

My god, for a movement that started in the darker corners of Lesbian Separatism they are completely obsessed with masculinity. There's gotta be at least 6 types of sexual pathology going on here.

But of course, for what else would politics be derived from? :very-smart:

They use bees as an example because of the male drone getting kicked out hive, and dying.

bees are also a terrible example because they have genetics in a way that they share 75% of their genetics with their siblings but only 50% with their children, making the whole asexual worker caste thing viable for spreading their genes.

the weird genetic thing evolved once in the order hymenoptera (bees, ants, wasps) and was so powerful in changing how their natural selection works that eusociality evolved several times independently in the order.

My favorite sexual dimorphism thing is that there are big, muscular, hulked out male Orangutans who get all the girls because of how big and strong they are... and there are also smol femme male orangutans who have basically the same body shape as female orangutans, who sneak around getting all the girls because, apparently, the big male orangs read them as female and ignore them.

TERFs are to feminism as NOI is to Black liberation. I get their anger, I really do, but this is what happens when your ideology is 100% emotionally driven. I doubt we have any TERFs reading this, but I'm begging them for two seconds to do any kind of materialist analysis. "AMAB are evil, AFAB are better" is stupid and lazy and does absolutely nothing to liberate oppressed people.

This was my last roommate every single time something a guy did pissed her off. My favorite part was when I got casually lumped in. Very cool thing to do to someone actively trying to be more feminine.

Equality is when women have something as equally inane as "alpha-wolf" theory.

That’s real though, they’re called “cads and dads” in sexual selection theory. High machiavellianism vs low are preferred for short vs long term relationships. Literally alpha fucks beta bux on WebMD

"Misandrist" is an accusation that often gets levelled baselessly at feminists (recall the outrage around Anita Sarkeesian, whose feminism is about as spicy as mayonnaise), but the rare occasions where it actually applies are almost always TERFs.

I think its a core part of being a TERF. They see a transwoman and say "that's a man and I hate men" and that's the end of the ideological road. They also invalidate trans men in the same way by opining that they are somehow "broken women." It's gross. It's invasive. The shorter version of a much longer post I could type up, but don't want to because I'm a cis dude and there's enough of me's in the world, is that this is all kind of a shade of "main character syndrome" where they think they have a right to butt into other people's lives because they have a problem with it. This isn't stopping a fist fight on a busy sidewalk, this isn't de-escalating a hostile exchange at the workplace, this is them choosing them to immerse in spaces and ideas they are actively hostile to and then firing in every damned direction. It's bigotry wearing a the mask of progress. You know who also did that? The goddamned Nazis. That's why they claimed "national socialism."

I feel bad for Anita. She put out a bunch of videogame videos that were pretty much just "An Introduction to Feminist Media Analysis" and all those fucking CHUDs just exploded in frothing rage for years.

I don't believe that conciousness entails free will, tbh. I think we're all just kinda prisoners in a meat vessel. And yes, I have to trust that that meat-vessel is correct in describing the world to "Me", both because "I" am it, and also because it is the only thing through which I can experience, or think of, anything at all.

Making decisions doesn’t imply free will, but that you can make decisions relying on inputs of your brain itself (le self-reflection). You can read a story on the internet and decide to treat homeless people better for example, despite your sensory inputs staying the same before you read said story.

*crucially, you can arrive at that decision just by thinking about problem itself, only relying on your internal memories and thought patterns. You can leave human in white room, and he can arrive at different conclusion one hour later about completely unrelated to whiteness of the room problem.

Well you see, evolution sometimes selects for different traits between the sexes, and that proves that every single thing reactionaries believe about the sexes to be true.

    "neither does nature"

Nature: Creates animals and plants that can spontaneously change gender, have no gender, have 3 genders, have both genders, or 1 self fertilizing gender.

Dude female spiders are like 4 times bigger than males. The lifespan of a male tarantula is like 3 to 5 years, whereas females can live as long as 30. Mostly because females regularly kill and eat males in response to mating attempts
