The same poll says 64% of the population favours the legality of abortion in "most" or "all" circumstances.

A long term poll (since 1976) only has 13% of people saying they want abortion to be illegal in all circumstances, a historic low, but that group was never larger than 21% of the population.

So, in conclusion: the statistic in this post is cherry-picked. A large majority supports the legality of abortion.

"We polled 100 people who weren't really paying attention and asked them about a subject they knew very little about"

On the one hand, this is just how click-bait poll headlines have been doing things forever. On the other, this is also how people get driven to the polls on election day - throw out a bunch of vague ill-defined culture war issues and scream at people until they show up to fight the other side.
