Nah, I agree with her. Yeah it's gonna be framed to divide by the media because everything is but I don't think there's anything incorrect or wrong with her stance.
In her words and the Jewish tradition, yes, out and breathing on its own.
In my opinion, 5 years of age, because some toddlers are just completely shitty.

Fuck, that got me. I needed that, thank you. <3
The real cut off is whether or not you're in an assisted living home.
It is an opinion that I hold seriously, but it is not a serious opinion. It has become my go-to argument whenever I find myself stuck around folks arguing abortion rights. The antis will never argue in good faith, why should I.
I like to tell them nobody's a human til they're registered as a contact on my phone.
I go with the Violinist Argument. No one can be forced to support another life in violation of their bodily autonomy.
"better option" = continually letting "what age does a fetus become a baby?" be the most important question, letting arguments slowly erode the timeline women get to have an abortion, keeping the argument in the public consciousness, leading to today.
No one has the right to make a woman carry a child for even a single day.
She should be able to decide that. You don’t get to tell women what to do with their bodies because you don’t know what’s best for them.
Tbf this lady is correct. Abortions should be available up until birth for any reason
I disagree. If the person that's pregnant wants an abortion they should get one. I'm not making a bold statement, I don't care about a fetus. I care about people keeping autonomy over their bodies (regardless of the statistics on how often it may or may not happen)
If not at birth where? This is literally the exact way this argument got to where it is now. It's extremely sus there's a bunch of dudes in this threads making similar arguments to the folks that are anti-choice.
Before it's born it hardly even exists in the world. I'm more concerned with whether the person that's pregnant wants to continue their pregnancy or not. Once it's born? There are options (adoption) for the baby as it's already here
I am going to continue getting abortions and you cannot stop me
I think the news is doing a poor job framing her argument :surprised-pika:, but I think it's pretty clear she's talking about her religion's opinion on bodily autonomy vs the Christian definition. All the feral hogs are going to read it as her saying she should be able to abort at her current stage of pregnancy though, and I can't imagine that wasn't partially the point, get those social media shares and engagement stats up!
We are dunking on the media response right, not this cool lady?
The video (or at least the transcript) seems pretty reasonable tbh. Reporter is just asking open ended questions and letting pregnant lady talk.
I'm not sure what we're dunking here, this woman is obviously right and clearly pointing out how without Roe the law defaults to what Christians believe instead of allowing people to practice their own faith (frankly even Roe didn't protect people's ability to defer to their own faith's definition of personhood but it was better than nothing).
I love how Americans can make even the reasonable and correct take look insane.
The country was founded on the most cringe anti-colonial movement ever. Doing something that should be easy in the worst way possible is our brand. We even managed to beat nazis wrong!
Abortion should be ondemand for anyone regardless how far along they are. It's called body autonomy honey.
