Social democracy is objectively the moderate wing of fascism. Genius brained move by everyone involved, and NATO is only strengthened.

I don't think NATO is strengthened. Finland and Sweden has been tightly integrated into the Evil Empire for a lifetime so their neutrality was always more of a pro forma thing than anything resembling a commitment to anti-imperialism. Everybody always knew what side they would be on if shit would hit the fan.

The big surprise about the expansion into Scandinavia was how ineptly it was done and how openly Turkey went against orders from Washington. The empire is run by the failsons of failsons, people who believe their own propaganda and lack the skills of previous generations of imperialists. Meanwhile vassals in the twilight zone between the core and the periphery are seeing this weakness and try to leverage it to gets better deal.

The west is declining, even though the white and blue swastika banner will fly in the Scandinavian peninsula.

I'm sorry, but I just can't be convinced of some serious evidence of decline or even a blow to its credibility. No matter how you spin it, NATO now has not one, but two wealthy new members close to Russia, both with mandatory conscription. And on top of that, those two nations are now permanent American vassal states, more so than they already were and they will now have American bases and nuclear weapons on their soil that they will never, EVER be rid of. This is one of the best possible victories for American empire, and the MIC gets to work double time to keep those new bases stocked and supplied.

This is fucking wretched. There is barely any politics in Sweden - just this putrid, bubbling, grey mass in the centre that flops about like a blind dog, with SD out on the right smearing their own shit on the walls and firebombing synagogues.

Lifting the arms embargo. Jesus fucking Christ. This is election year in Sweden, but no-one will give a shit about this.

Leaving the Kurds in that fashion was depressingly expected and disastrous but on the moral part I'd say that US presence ,objectives and opperations in Syria ware never "moral" to begin with, so there was no morality to be lost

It was inevitable, the Swedes and Finns couldn't give any less of a fuck about the Kurds and they're more than happy to sell them out to fascists.

Doesn't that mean Sweden will have to extradite a member of parliament?

    full :jokerfied:

It was always going to happen, anyone saying otherwise was on a hefty dose of copium

Awkward for that lady in Sweden parliaments. Her country sold her out.

Wonder what'll happen to her. Nothing good, obviously, but hopefully she doesn't get gitmo'd. Like, isn't she openly a former member of what is now a terrorist organization?

I'm surprised anybody thought otherwise. It shows that NATO isn't nearly as unified as it comes across, but thinking they weren't going to give Turkey what they want is wishful thinking.
