I don't live in the states and I'm ignorant to the process of coming to canada but if there's any way I can assist someone getting out of that wretched country please point me in the right direction. Or any way I can use my privileges to help, really.

I'm broke and live in a tiny 1br apartment with 2 other humans but if someone needs a place to stay while fleeing the US on the west coast i have an air mattress and part of the living room floor is clear.

Yeah, I'm probably just going to flee to Quebec.

I'll take my chances in French Reddit than 4chan: The country.

As of now, travel within the United States is still relatively safe, as is crossing the border if you have your paperwork in order. Much more important is having a support system in place once people arrive.

One possible model would be to have a group of homes to regularly host meals and lodging, but to have them spread out so no one residence had to support a bunch of extra people on their own. If anyone has any more info on historical processes for settling refugees, I would appreciate the reading.

If you can find your friendly local leftists try to do some work with mutual aid groups. If/when it gets to the point that people have to flee the US having a network of people who can work together and share resources will be vital. And you'll be able to help people in your community in the meanwhile. And I'm told that mutual aid work can be incredibly life affirming.
