The libs are in overdrive on this one, despite the fact that he was clearly talking about an economic bloodbath, specifically in the car industry. And naturally, it's going to backfire on them as Trump supporters and campaigns run it again and again and again as typical 'fake news'. But they literally can't help themselves, especially their only electoral strategy is to keep repeating that Trump is the apocolypse incarnate.
Running on democracy and against Trump got Dems the best midterms results in modern history, but go off.
I think a lot can and has changed since '22 - Biden's decline, worsening economy, can't blame Covid for everything, genocide/new unpopular wars, fading memory of Jan 6th hysteria - but you might well be right. I don't pretend even spend much time thinking about American electoralism, never mind be an expert in it. I'm just amazed by how thin and clumsy it is, especially when libs in my orbit are saying 'oh yeah, it's a bit much, he's bad enough already'.
And naturally, it's going to backfire on them as Trump supporters and campaigns run it again and again and again as typical 'fake news'.
Sure glad we never do this exact same thing with our agitprop
If this election isn’t won, I’m not sure that you’ll ever have another election in this country.
Oh no, democracy is on the ballot!
"We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected . . . Now if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That will be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories."
Why do they continually make him look cooler than he is?
Why the fuck would you publish this with when it's so obvious he's not speaking about an actual bloodbath?
Losing to Joe Biden is probably the only thing more embarrassing then losing to trump.
