I would not call them organized. More like driven by uncontrollable megalomania. They were losing members and having other chapters disaffiliate with them for months to the point they were having to trick homeless people into fundraising for them by the end. There was no long term strategy.

Not that Black Hammer is any kind of civil rights org, cops and FBI have a documented history of murdering leaders and blaming other orgs or claiming it was suicide.
We can't really make any appraisals if we've only got the cops word to go off of.
They also have a history of amplifying voices that compete with other voices on the left but don't threaten anything, eg, leftcoms.

These people suck and they aren't allies in the struggle by any means, but remain highly critical of any reporting on them, especially if it's from local news repeating statements from law enforcement.
