RIP to a real one. His show was both informative and funny. He was my primary channel for any news regarding South America and I haven’t found a place quite as comprehensive as TMBS ever since. Also, him dunking on Dave Rubin was comedy gold. :michael-laugh:
Also also, RIP to Chester Bennington. He was cool.
It wouldn't surprise me to learn in 10 years when the next brave soul leaks a bunch of CIA shit, that MB was killed by a secret blood clot gun. Young, charismatic, funny, and with both an ability to frame and focus strategically that very few have, and an ability to bring in a broad set of people that very few people have as well. Not to be all great man theory, but you do need some people to be focal points. We lost big when he passed.
His sister has stated a few times that it was not covid related, but was due to a genetic disease, which, and this is my own opinion, could be prevented if we had universal healthcare in this country.
I remember hearing her say that, I just wonder if it was exacerbated somehow.
feel free to link your favorite video of Michael Brooks dunking on Dave Rubin, would like to watch
Always was a joy to listen to, let us remember him for his best bits, I recently discovered this nation of islam obama from Livagar's stream and it's so fucking funny. RIP to a real one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOerFWiBgP0&ab_channel=TheMichaelBrooksShow
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of Michael Brooks. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Reddit, Saying, The Dry boys must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
Anyway, that's the day

The shock of his death had me reeling. Thought he was one of the best, bright future hopes on the Left.
Ran into him on the street after the Bernie rally in the park at Queensbridge. I recognized him but wasn’t sure who he was at first. His face lit up at that and halted a moment. I smiled but was with my young son on a bicycle. Gave him the thumbs up and said something like keep going with what you’re doing, man.
Kind of wished how that I had stopped and told him how much I really appreciated and respected him.
He left a big hole.
Whenever I find myself frustrated in a conversation with a person I think back to what Michael would say: "Be critical of systems but generous to people."
