GOP 2024 platform: "Blood and soil! Death to anybody who isn't a White Fundamentalist Christian!..."

Greenwald: "People are unduly concerned about the GOP 2024 platform. 1/39"

You see, Article 3.1.2 of the consititution discusses freedom of speech in the context of civil rights and these tiny details persist and ipso facto, I've destroyed your brain with minutiae, good luck responding lmao

I wish Snowden picked literally anyone else to tell about the spying so I didn't have to know who :red-brownwald: was and be disappointed because he was once not outwardly terrible.

snowden himself is an omegalib who probably feels guilty that he defected to the russians who want to kill democracy in America or something like that. Snowden's and Greenwald's work is a lot cooler than their politics are.

Nah, he'd turn himself in if that was the case.

I disagree, he says a lot of lib stuff in his interviews but im pretty sure it's intentional manipulation and not his true ideas

Hope you're having fun gallivanting around in Brazil with your (formerly) "socialist" hubby you fucking backstabbing dipshit. Just be glad you're safer there than hanging out with Gaetz and his coterie of fascistic freaks who would unhesitatingly send you to the gas chambers if they had even a tenth of the power they desire

he really isn't safer in Brazil. Bolsonaro hates his guts and is closer to taking power for himself than the GOP is. there's a good chance that bourgeois democracy in Brazil will not be a thing come 2023.
now, i just don't understand why he capes for people who hate him. he only does it when it comes to American politics, he seems reasonable enough regarding LatAm and more specifically Brazilian politics, which makes it even more baffling.

incredible short-term thinking if so, i doubt the nazis would have let their occasional token jew outlive their usefulness

they certainly didn't have any problem introducing their token gays to some very long knives

2022: Congress codifies Obergefell and Griswold.

2023: Some red state AG's sue.

2024: Supreme Court strikes both down laws based on the 10th Amendment.

America is done. None of this matters anymore.

I suspect Glenn Greenwald and Matt Gaetz have a lot in common in terms of the types of personal rights they want to protect. Greenwald married a 19 year old in his late thirties. I just feel he’s always been a libertarian, and people are just now seeing how those allegiances shake out.

I don’t want to make any accusations, but I think there’s a type of privileged rich queer person who knows their attention from younger people would dry up in a less homophobic and more equitable society. This dynamic is way more commonly exploited by straight cis men in their sexcapades, and many men are correct in their fears that a just state would replace the bare minimum they put into relationships very easily.

I can understand what you're saying. There's a level of power that older, financially stable white gay men have.

I mean look at something as simple as Grindr. The people most reliably able to host a hookup are people who can either afford their own place or a hotel. That's not something most young people or people of color are going to have very often. Especially in cities like SF where it's hard enough to live with roommates.
