Like what's the deal. A week or two ago Sanders called him out on purposefully derailing biden's agenda. I remember seeing an article about manchin being up set about it.
Is that all it took. One call out and he folded? If so that's pretty pathetic on his part and even more so on the Biden admin for but don't it earlier.
as november approaches they gotta create a sense that the democrats are just about to do something and need a little more time in office

:biden-troll: there was slight pushback so my hands are tied

Money. He, or someone in his employ, worked out that he can benefit greatly from it one way or another.
It's an extremely limited bill and the climate aspects of it conform to almost all of Manchin's preferences, and therefore the coal lobby's preferences (outside of not having a climate bill at all, of course)
Libs are saying he lied about opposing it to get Republicans to pass the CHIPs act. That would mean the Democrats did a politic, which is unlikely but not, I suppose, impossible.
The bill does some ok climate stuff, from what I've seen, but it's way too small scale and unambitious. Therefore, nothing has changed: #HackUpJoeManchinWithAMachete
Didn't he have covid? Maybe they're holding back the good drugs for old politicians unless he plays ball
