I’ll believe it when I see it. This is part of a Saudi Arabian megaproject that is only marginally more realistic than Neom. It’s apparently years behind schedule, much like the rest of their megaproject nonsense. I’m sure they’ll build something, but it’ll probably cost three times as much and take three times as long to deliver a third of what’s being proposed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this particular announcement is a literal PR stunt with no real intention to follow through.

The problem with this idea is that to be lore accurate the number one attraction would be getting killed by some bored teens with a shitty attitude and the US has pretty much already fully cornered that market.
