Wow, comments auto-update when edited? This site is fucking cool.
I don't know much about their foreign policy honestly, that's why I'm dodging your point. All I can say is that I went their last year and it's authoritarian as hell. There are more cameras than you can imagine. They probably know more about me than my home country does, including all ten fingerprints, a DNA sample and pretty much all my personal information.
Even the claims in that article are nowhere near the holocaust. Not even close. Also, the source they cite in there is very important: there's only one, Dr. Adrian Zenz. Dr. Adrian Zenz is an end-times Christian who works for the Victims of Communism Memorial fund, a US-funded propaganda organization. This goes into a lot of detail debunking his value as a source. Please, please read that before you take him (and only him) as enough evidence that China is "doing a holocaust". That thread also refutes an uncited claim in that article, that Uyghur is banned in the education centers: a BBC documentary shows Uyghur being spoken in the centers.
"In fact, just in 2010, the narrative was exactly inverted! American state department outlets like NPR were pushing propaganda like "Chinese Muslims good, Other Muslims bad"!
god i fucking love this quote in there. fucking liberalism
Mate are you sure about that? I live in London and let me tell you, it's a breath of fresh air when I am in Shanghai in terms of surveillance.
Here are some sources on the UK having a fuckton of CCTV:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-30978995
https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/most-spied-on-cities-in-the-world.html
https://www.express.co.uk/expressyourself/215388/CCTV-Britain-Why-are-we-the-most-spied-on-country-in-the-world
The point is the PRC hasn't done any while the US has done like 20. And the entire premise of the thread you're responding to is that China will be better.

As for the genocide, let's not pretend nothing is happening in Xinjiang.

I'll give it a read, thanks.
Have you been to London?
Take a look at this concerning Xinjiang.
Yeah, it was nothing compared to Shanghai.
I'll look into that thread, thanks.

Also "iff we’re comparing number of genocides committed then China clearly comes out looking better" is a fucking lib take lol.
"Well clearly Biden has raped less people, so obviously you should vote for him!"
