    People in that thread are treating the US MIC as if it were a monastic order of ascetic celibate monks who have renounced worldly pleasures and definitely don't go into military-related industries and lobby for lucrative careers and contracts on behalf of their new commercial masters.

    One even called the military industrial complex a "cherished institution" lmao.

      They really believe that because they know someone employed by the defense industry or are employed by it themselves.

      The MIC played a big role in creating the postwar professional-managerial class and continues to sustain it.
