overwatch is a bad game and valorant is bad for the ways it's like overwatch.
It doesn't have 20+ minute stalemates until the attacking team loses because of bad balance tho

The similarities are just "having distinct characters with abilities" which isn't bad why do you want everyone on your team to be a generic soldierman instead of a unique wizard soldier
more mechanics isn't automatically better. overwatch is worse than other games that have the same game types because everybody is doing way too much. same with valorant's exxtra bullshit making the game lesser, or the recent crop of 3D fighters with awful super-meter mechanics.
nah i don't really think about it unless somebody bring it up. it's a game design opinion more than a specific ow/valorant/realm royale/whatever opinion outside of strongly believing soul calibur 2 is much better than 4, 5, and 6

Most of the abilities are variants of each other though, like flash bang type stuff, slows, etc. I think if you play as each character or read up on their abilities it won't be too hard to deal with

I played jedi knight and the original half-life with bots and it was awesome.
Jedi Knight is so great. I miss running around Bespin on a server where my friends just chatted and occasionally squared off for duels on the landing platform.
If that's the level I think it is, I remember being accused of hacking because one of my methods was to always take the invulnerability backpack that spawned on the bridge/railway to make up for my lack of skill, lol. This was back when the game could be played on Microsoft's gaming zone.
