I am become jonker

Is there ANYTHING more pathetic than monarchism? Just the most servile, groveling position imaginable. Particularly when you’re not even from the country whose monarch you’re simping for!!! Your glorious soverign would grind you and your family into a fine powder if it meant he didn’t have to spend as much time covering up sex scandals.

Imagine being so behind the times you can't even go along with the "freedom and democracy" western propaganda about the official bad countries because the word "democracy" sends you into a frothing rage about the ungrateful rabble.

The only conclusion I can arrive at is that some people just want to be dominated, and not in a fun way.

Would you like to listen to the obviously forced posh accent fall apart as he is literally reduced to tears?

Edit: the whites are not ok

What arguments could monarchists possibly have for monarchy besides some calipers-waving eugenics beliefs?

      MUH STABILITY

Never mind that historically monarchies have always been an absolute hotbed of political stability with constant power struggle between the nobles and civil wars over the throne.

As we all know, the English crown is a very stable institution, and the throne has passed from descendant to descendant continuously with no hiccups at all.

These Marxist lunatics keep saying some bs about material conditions but we all know that one lady cancells all of that out!

So much political stability in an era mostly known for fortified mansions with fancy wall enclosures and the sieges thereof. :improve-society:

monarchism is when you need to wear a suit for your bootlicking video but cannot reliably follow a step-by-step windsor knot tutorial

Oh! it's the British Army 18th century LARP guy! Did not realise he was this committed to the bit. Especially since outside reenacting the political leanings of the Historical costuming/Crafting/Living community range from Communist to Anarcho Communist to "Guy with beard from every folk festival ever (Marxist-Leninist-MZT)"

Seems like the guy is a reenactor and historian, there are many videos about the american revolutionary war, so that explains a lot.

    Still, the video is cringe.

That doesn't have to be mutually exclusive, he's probably a redcoat when he's reenacting.

I swear, the Americans love the British monarchy as much (if not more) than the English do.

:reddit-logo: 's general population got it into their heads that if they talked and LARPed as chip chip cheerio brits (around the time of the David Tennant Doctor Who era) they could sound enlightened and uplifted and also say c--t all they wanted because it's totally just a chummy friendly slang term, mate, that they directly used as a misogynistic slur all the while.
