What has any 5th grader done to have made the world better

This truly is a man who has never experienced love.

"it's the opposite of the way we were raised"

based dennis prager's mom letting him know the world is worse for his existence, and it's still true today

I can't imagine being proud of that. My folks were not great. In fact, in many ways they were quite terrible. But they still told me they loved me and that I made their day better.

"What has any 5th grader done to have made the world better because he or she is in it?"

Have you ever met a 5th grader? They're hilarious. Every single 5th grader adds more to this planet merely by existing, than Prager does. How rotted out does your brain have to be that you punch all the way down to checks notes 10 year olds.

Edit: My niece and I were playing with legos last week, we we're pretending to be jewel thieves and she suggested "We can steal jewels from the Queen now because she's dead." :michael-laugh: I'll be riding that high for years.

I love that phrase from Parenti's speech: A revolution that feeds the children is alright with me. At this point that's probably the best marker of a successful country.

if people are raised to think they have inherent worth as human beings, how will they accept their status as disposable bloodbags of extractable labor?

I look forward to the explainer video follow up where he starts by saying "People think dennis-prager-shaped-turd sized whole in the underlying anti-abortion argument. This is erroneous for the following reasons..."

Dennis Prager should put his money where his mouth is and fight a classroom of 5th graders. (normally 30 students but since it's the American education system it's 50).

All it takes is one good hit if they do it right and have some help, Since this would take place in a school, which is an institution of learning, I volunteer to give a demonstration. :ira:

Conservatives: "I am very very special and I should be showered with compliments at every hour of the day for being me! A white man! I'm perfect!"

Also Conservatives: "Is that a compliment!? Weird anime villain noises!"

How are these guys the top of the popularity food chain when they seem to be terrified of the concept of friendship? So why does everyone want to be friends with them?

theyre only at the top of the popularity chain because 6 people with as much access to resource as another 6 billion people get to create the illusion loads of people agree with them.

and they fund think tanks that are purpose built to pump out pro-market ideas, and then those ideas eventually get adopted into university econ textbooks, and then students end up being taught that those ideas are actual facts, and then those students graduate and then get jobs at the friendly neighbourhood right-wing think tank just down the road...
