There's some speculation that cracker originates from "whip cracker" but because it was originally used by rich southern elite to refer to the poor whites thats probably not true.
I really don't think there's anything that applies to white people then, right? Since for it to be a slur, you'd kind of need to punch down, and at least in any cultural context I'm familiar with there's no situation where you could be punching down on white people in general, maybe only against some blue collar types.
On a smaller scale it could happen, for example a school with 90% black kids where white kids get bullied and no authority figure takes it seriously. On a systemic scale it's not really a thing though.
I should amend my statement credible threat of violence. Or even any history of pain
without that it's just a word like how you can call a Brit a limey and it won't even register because it isn't associated with any painful memories or fear
Washington Crackers should be the name then.

Well aware, but that's not a good slur, is it?
"haha, your kind used to own people" doesn't really work to denigrate someone

they should share their words of power with the rest of the class
still doesn't really work these slurs all just lack the teeth of the threat of violence.
That's why they aren't actual slurs

I wouldn't call it a slur, just the closest thing to a slur you can get for white people.
