Yeah, the waiter image is extra funny, as someone who has worked kitchens for over a decade, I can say with a lot of confidence that if your waiter is a dude there's a solid 75% chance they ain't straight. Cis straight dudes make really shitty eait staff because they're used to be the ones dealing outnbullshit not having to deal with it

That's what they told me when I took a job in a restaurant - I wasn't suited to it because I wouldn't take the customers shit, but the immigrants would. Evidently this was a big deal.

I lasted a few weeks before quitting.

When I worked as a canvasser I never approached straight white dudes. If you had earings and a backwards ballcap, I'd approach you, but boat shoes and a polo? Forgetaboutit. Tall straight dudes were the worst.

Only people I heard that say except for weird communists who think everyone needs 20 years of Marx study are people who actually don't care for precarious workers.

TBH we should incorporate an understanding of the foundations & developments of Marxist theory into primary education.

Sure, but 20 years of Marx study just means people will not act and change the world.

Who says every person in that photo isn't LGBTQ+? LGBTQ+ folks are also blue collar workers.

Under socialism, every month will be labor pride month so long as we are dismantling chauvinist attitudes around labor.

It's called June. Measure the proportion of queer people in the service industry vs. every other field. Tell me what the results are.
