Exactly 88 hours more, huh? What a coincidence. Yea no, I can hear that whistling in the wind too

YES! thanks. it lept out at me immediately and wanted to see if it was just me being overly attentive to that symbol (or due to adderall and caffeine perhaps) or if there was a thing going on that jumped out as others, too.

You're definitely not just imagining things. However, as always, there's a lot of plausible deniability baked in with this one, seeing as they probably have 8h segments of training each day.
        Still, I immediately did a double-take too.

yeah, plausible deniability. but even if i had add 11 8h days, i would have said the last one was an hour shorter or something to make it 487. because just a pretty bad look. surely they all know 1488.

The only reason they didn’t make the number of hours 1488 is that they don’t want to do an additional 1000 hours of training.

Still can’t believe I have more playtime in Animal Crossing than they have in police training.

That caught my eye, but I would want to see a second piece to be sure. It might be there was more to go with it in the original documents that didn't make it into the news report. I expect dog whistles to be a good bit louder.

Eight letter of the English alphabet is H. 88 = HH, as in "Heil Hitler".

It's often displayed as 1488, but my guess is that they didn't want to increase the training by 1088 hours, but the 4 in front makes me think it's not really a coincidence.
