asking once again to pin the megathread at the top of the page unless you're in a specific community
seriously. recover the joy of the immediate megathread when you open chapo. it makes a homie feel good
I'm not sure why the main page layout wasn't designed around the megathreads - they were literally an integral part to the subreddit community and I honestly think a lot of activity is hampered by the fact that there aren't constantly 2-3 posts pinned to the very top highlighting some bullshit going on around the world, the megathread, and then whatever else the goddamn mods wanted to promote.
BRING IT BACK @Beatnik
Please don't tell us to actually open /c/main to see them pinned either :stalin-stressed: I need my community-wide megathreads to be easily accessible for my 4am shitposting!!!!
Dearest Screamo,
I cannot tell you how pleased I was to receive your correspondence regarding the megathread pins. Truly I was jubilant after reading that you would see what you could do, and let me not forget to mention the whups and shouts that came from the boys when they heard that the topic was one of discussion for the devs!
I can only hope that in time the steps you take will illuminate the beaten path for us all.
Godspeed. My love to all.
Your friend, abc
abc,
i can't begin to say how pleased i was to read your comment. I too have yearned for a site-wide megathread pin. I was overjoyed to see a like minded soul in these dark times. Please give "the boys" my best, and let them know they have found a like minded soul over here!
I hope life finds you well.
Sincerely,
Gay_Wrath
I'm chilean, so this is a real bad day for us my dudes, the scars of the CIA backed coup are gonna take a real long time to heal up. Today was the day that the chilean experiment died. F for Allende and all those fallen comrades that died defending the socialist dream.
I was gone for two days and now upbears are orange? Like r*ddit? Disgusting
God it's fucked Obama didn't campaign on that fucking delicious promise of seeing Cheney and Bush squirm
As bad in taste some of the jokes about today will be, they will never be as horrifying as the common "joke" right after 9/11 to glass the entire middle east.
Never forget that the colossal piece of shit John McCain used to love to sing "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" in public after 9/11 :-)
and "Bomb them back into the stone age"
heard both of those seemingly weekly in high school.
omg yeah, actually disturbing how mass violence was normalized like that even to children. I was like 13 at the time and heard the same.
Anyone else sick of getting downvoted on Reddit for pointing out obvious things like how the democrats are bad?
Lol everybody here already believes the same things I believe in. I come here when I need to recharge. I go to reddit when I want to fight back against MSM’s propaganda.
Not everyone here believes the same thing. That’s for sure.
Growing and contributing to this community is more important and feels better to me than engaging with libs and chuds. But I like to get my kicks here and there too.
Congress would need to vote to change that, Trump can't do anything on his own
Never Forget.. that the day before 9/11 Sec of Defense Donald Rumsfeld pledged to cut the pentagon budget.
fucking wild on retrospect that a republican sec of defense wanted to cut the military budget. I cannot fathom that today. Even getting dems to want to cut the defense budget is rare now. They really seized the moment to drag this country as far right as possible
The Bush administration accomplished more with their shock therapy than any other administration within the countries history.
They essentially formally legalized forever war, over anything that can remotely be described as "terrorism". Truthfully most of the new toys created by the Bush administration didn't really get to show their new muscle until the Obama years where he only escalated things.
One thing to remember is that the deep state is more powerful than the Congress. They have lobbying capabilities that functionally just run our government with congress mostly just being an oversight entity.
I think it depends on if you believe 9/11 was just allowed to happen by the government (either by incompetence or by malice) or was made to happen. The latter descends into trutherism and screaming about THE JEWS
Patiently waiting thirty more minutes so I can text my boss, "hey, I'm not gonna be able to come in today - just woke up sick as a dog" without him being able to tell me 'see how you feel by the time you're supposed to clock in'
It really shows how fucking short our collective memory is. We forgot those war crimes faster than for Operation Paperclip.
For one day, America felt as unsafe as the places they'd been bombing for the previous 60 years, and they didn't like it at all.
