I moved to the US from India when I had the chance because the working culture is atrocious in India. Colonization probably influenced how this culture came about.
But India always had strong hierarchies (like the caste system) so maybe it would've sucked anyways if it became a capitalist country without colonization
The revolutionary and fascist potential in India right now is terrifying but also kind of uplifting in a weird way. If a country of over a billion people goes communist that would be a major weeks where decades happen moment.
Remember in 2020 when a quarter billion people went on strike in India?
Nope, Marxist Leninist. There is a pretty good Maoist faction in the north, but they are underground and not very powerful.
I imagine Indians on Twitter are significantly wealthier than average, and the self selection of having the flag in your name probably skews more right wing as well.

As a resident doctor in egypt I make around 200 dollars per month, in USA I make 10 times as much (still peanuts but at least I have a brighter future)
Wanting to become a beneficiary of imperial plunder instead of its victim is understandable, but sounds sorta fishy if you put it this way.
i don't think you necessarily become a beneficiary of imperial plunder by immigrating to the imperial core. You simply go from being a victim of their foreign policy to being a victim of their domestic policy.
It's not necessarily, but I guess it's possible to be both the beneficiary and the victim.
It's a interesting question. Compare how differently immigrats from Latin American countries to US and immigrats from Latin American countries to Israel are seen in leftist spaces.
