The Juggalos have evolved into a really fascinating subculture. I keep thinking about this idea I have for a story in a post-collapse America where the Juggalos are one of the largest de facto anarchist mutual aid networks on the continent, and people join up with no connection to or interest in the music. They just like having shelter during lethal heat exposure advisory days, and enjoy giving a half-hour on one of the generator bikes for a bowl of stew

Juggalos are an ingroup. You put that clown sticker on your car, and everyone in the ingroup knows who you are. They'll go out of your way to help you. That goes for pretty much any ingroup, honestly.

Of course, to the US government, they're a threatening gang.

Juggalos are comrades. Thr dark carnival is one of the few authentic white working class networks that formed without becomeing rascist and that is real big money rustlin

The band made a song called fuck your confederate flag and the fans have been known to kick open racists out of shows. Doesn't mean there aren't any racist fans but it's kind of more than I expected from the band and the community tbh

Juggalos are probably one of the most interesting groups of people in the world right now, and also a great contemporary example of solidarity across racial lines.

Wonder if I should get a Juggalo bumper sticker so people won't steal my car parts as well.

I don't know for sure, but I think it's just the bigger part at the end by his hand, and the whole exhaust pipe is still attached

The bulb at the bottom is the cat, the rest is just exhaust pipe. Kinda odd to be carrying it all around, must’ve found the whole thing on the side of the road or something.

almost (all?) newer cars are made to California emissions standards because it is such a large market with the most stringent standards ... and the US has never passed effective emissions standards nationally as far as I know

Slightly related but a military base in hungary had all the converters from their fleet of Jeeps stolen a few months ago, tells a lot about the country. I don't know who they were but they have my utmost respect.

    If you wanna learn hungarian
