Hinkle was recently featured by the NYT as the face of the rising anti-imperialist and pro-Palestinian movements.

Today, he says he is a Stalinist and a Maoist who was expelled from the Communist Party of the United States. (Roberta Wood, a party leader in Chicago, said he subscribed to the newsletter but had never joined the party and did not reflect its values.) He once supported Bernie Sanders, but now praises Donald Trump.

He is, he wrote last year, an “American PATRIOT, GOD fearing, Pro-FAMILY, Marxist Leninist, Pro-PALESTINE, RUSSIA & CHINA, Anti-DEEP STATE, Anti-IMPERIALIST, Anti-WOKE, Pro-GROWTH, ANTI-MONOPOLY, Pro-GUN, Pro-FOSSIL FUEL.”

Now liberals everywhere will continue to associate those ideologies with uncritical support for Putin and anti-LGBT views. blob-no-thoughts

peppino-angry I'm fucking pissed this guy is getting so much traction not only in the mainstream press but annoyingly on some smaller independent Chinese media, he's 100% being promoted by the bourgeoisie so these types are the face of "leftism" in the minds of liberals/hogs.

Lol so the people were 100% when they said he’s a fed and not just some random reactionary.

But what are the chances it’s even dumber? What are the chances the feds purposely leaned into this angle for division but he’s genuinely not an agent at all and just morally bankrupt and doesn’t care about anything? I mean ultimately he carries out their agenda intentionally or not so it doesn’t matter, but it just seems too perfect that a psyop soldier is publicly involved with him, yes?

It does make their job easier if they pick a guy that is organically annoying. So that would probably be part of it. Less chance of him messing up and breaking character as well.

they used to find people already saying what they wanted in zines or whatever and then backing them rather than directly commissioning propaganda, no reason to think they wouldn't find indoctrinated jackasses to prop up doing the current thing.

He was hanging out with Russian soldiers and talked in a video conference in Iran. It seems like this dude is either the most annoying, successful modern day spy, or he’s useful to every agency in the world because he might give you something valuable if you treat him right lol

To paraphrase Gabriel Rockhill, the CIA doesn't generally and doesn't need to pay puppets to spread its propaganda; it pays to build and support a marionette theatre to promote the performances of those who already and/or are willing to say what the CIA wants you to hear.

And other anti-imperialists by association. IMO it's psyop to promote the idea that there exists a red/brown alliance, which is something feds have repeatedly done.

Not doubting it, but who's the lieutenant colonel in the picture? Tried looking up Sarah Brady and it's just a bunch stories about her toxic relationship with Jonah Hill and Jackson Hinkler (they dated a few years ago and were probably dating when this pic was taken).

e: oh wait, they mean Tulsi Gabbard. What's linking her to psyops though?

She continued to serve as a major in the Hawaii Army National Guard until her transfer to the 351st Civil Affairs Command, a California-based United States Army Reserve unit assigned to the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, in June 2020

I will only say that it is hard to tell from that photo that that is actually Jackson Hinkle, but this is extremely on the nose since San Onofre is really close to a marine base.
