Americans talking about how evil and destructive Russians are makes me want to drop a nuclear bomb on NYC.

The vast majority of Americans supported the Afghanistan War and the only reason that turned around is because the epic Ubermenschen troops didn't instantly steamroll everything. The only reason there was any popular opposition to the invasion of Iraq is because people didn't like losing.

And then everyone, including huge portions of the "Left," memory-holed the entire saga and turned it into "yeah everyone was always opposed to the war."

Anyway my point is that anyone who's ever supported any American invasion should be shot in the head and their family forced to shovel them into a ditch.

that's not entirely true, the international protests against the war before it even started were among the largest in history. It didn't end up mattering, which is a fact I love to bring up to "just :vote:" types to demonstrate how little public sentiment matters, but nonetheless, there was a huge section of the population that was vocally anti-Iraq war before it began.

I think because that was much more successfully sold as the source of the 9/11 attacks. Iraq was much more obviously not, which is why they pivoted to WMDs as the main selling point.

So Americans were willing to engage in a bloody act of pointless and obviously false revenge, yet suddenly gained a conscience two years later?

People didn't like that the Ubermenschen troops were coming home in their pretty little flag-draped coffins. That's it.

I think that’s overly cynical, and doesn’t describe the entire protest, but whatever, I’m not going to argue with you :shrug-outta-hecks:

The youtube comments are actually not as bad as I thought. Some even talking about Lebensraum. Of course the replies are bad as usual.

The hilarious part is that now this is being done to the descendents of those settlers. Immigration from the southern border is turning Texas and Florida blue, and as soon as that happens it's a tipping point. The whole US will become like San Francisco or Chicago or Baltimore, the Democrats will be the only real option. And that will be hilarious.

This is, of course, assuming that elections will still be a thing at that point, and that the GOP hasn't rewritten the rules entirely. That's the thing about trying to win at their game, they get to make up new rules on the fly. This isn't baseball, it's Calvinball.
