For the record, conservatism is a problem for Muslim-majority nations (and organized religion tends to be a den of reaction in general). Of course, as with all things, the problem must be analyzed in a materialist lens, not an idealist one which thinks that Muslims are a hivemind who are hypnotized by the Quran to stab infidels.

Not to mention that Western Muslims tend to be more socially progressive on average (gee, I wonder why). The fact that the OP pointed them out in particular borders on incitement.

    average muslim in america is way more accepting of lgbt people than christians are. when i was in college there was this muslim prayer group that i was good friends with cause they were across the hall and would help us with homeless lgbt people. we'd all go down to various restaurants and get leftovers at the end of day for the homeless folks

        fr. there were some shithead liberals that i knew that acted like the women in the group were being forced into wearing the hijabs. when i talked to the muslim ladies about it they were just like, nah its a hidden tech i havent washed my hair in a week and i save so much time on styling
