Their gallery has stuff going back to 2019 and they offered the PSD file, so it's clear that they didn't make this with an AI. And in true reddit moderator fashion, the mod doubles down insisting it's "AI-prompted design", and that the artist should find a different style (???) and then just insults them by saying the AI can do better in seconds what took them hours (speaking from experience, no, it really can't, you'd spend hours either way).

EDIT: screenshot link since for some reason it got fucked up: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/730491611204812910/1060319451406422046/Flo_bPaWIAEQpvs.jpg

This sort of thing is exactly why my astigmatism plays off

Lets me read blurry stuff and still understand it because I made it to the age of 5 thinking that stuff was just always blurry

I can see that this isn't AI just by looking at the hands and pose. AI never poses like this at all. AI never makes an arm go out of sight and then correctly come back into sight at a different location it has no sense of continuity of body parts.

Anyway it looks like r/art is private and they're claiming "troll brigades" ?

I know, right? The birds and background eyes and style throughout the image being consistent is a giveaway too. Anyone who has worked with AI art knows that it is damn near impossible to get consistency between different objects unless they are part of the same generation (and this is too high resolution for that to be the case). Trying to copy style from one part of an image to the rest can take DAYS to figure out.

Yeah it's really hard to see why the mod here reacted this way other than the fact they saw it and thought "mid".

It is kinda mid but the actual artist is good. This would fit in well as art inside the newest fantasy tabletop game rulebook or w/e. The boobs might be a bit small though now that I think about it.

Oh that's another thing, AI art doesn't do small boobs.

There's also the bird in the background obscured by cloud, and the eye of Sauron thing partially obscured that I don't see AI art getting right.

Ooof. Thankfully this is not where art discourse is now. This is just Reddit being Reddit, isn’t it? I’m glad I deleted my account way back when.

I can tell it's a real drawing because the background is an actual place and not just a pile of dream logic vomit.

Just a bitter asshole spewing his bitterness on others. Pay it no mind. This AI thing is really hitting them hard. Good.

I'm not going to cheer about artists losing their jobs to ai but this luddite shit from artists that use photoshop and reference images and computers in general need a fucking reality check.

The hair too, imo. All the AI art I've seen in similar styles to this will get all wiggly with the hair, and forget that it's supposed to be hair and start drawing fingers in it, or stuff like that.
