I like tortillas because they make easy meals. I have very good memories of eating warm, freshly baked sourdough loafs and baguettes with my family in France. Naan bread is very yummy also
I'm biased of course but my mom makes the best banana bread on the planet
Put a couple slices in the toaster to crisp up and it's heaven, was my favorite breakfast growing up
Holy shit, I never thought about that but some havarti would be really good on banana bread, I'll have to do that sometime
A proper all-rye bread, the kind that is tough, almost leathery. Tastes great, lasts for weeks.
For sandwiches and toast Pumpernickel Rye, but definitely baguette and olive oil (like @john_browns_beard said) if I'm having bread as a side.
I don't let myself buy pumpernickel anymore because when I do I sit at the counter and just toast and butter it until I've eaten like half of it. I sometimes like to add just a little bit of Marmite too.
I'm partial to :anti-italian-action: baguettes because that's what I grew up with, get yourself some infused olive oil and go to town. Naan is also great but I feel like they belong in different categories.
not sour, not sweet (like brioche and the brioche-adjacent), just normal doughy bread
While I stand by All Bread Good, I will add Fresh Bread good.
Naan right ouy of the pan? Phenomenal
And I scored a bread maker from a relative downsizing, and even just normal loaf bread, but literally just done cookong is gamechanging. I love that I can load the cooker with ingredients, and set up a timer so it'll be ready first thing in the morning. Great waking up to that fresh bread smell
