Do you think it would be possible to contact this person and ask them if they would be interested in joining a safer online space for trans people free from reddit-logo clownery?

I would appreciate it if you want to try. Lately I've been trying to recruit trans people who don't know about Hexbear yet, and who could definitely use a safer platform.

If a trans sub can't understand how it's even harder for non whites in the community then they have some serious blind spots.

Transgender people of color face unique challenges as gender discrimination and racism intersect

trans people of color have been the overwhelming targets of this violence. The Human Rights Campaign has recorded over 256 cases of fatal violence against trans people since 2013 in the U.S., 84% of whom were people of color.

The tendency to use queer "allyship" to justify Islamophobia is one of the grossest examples of pinkwashing.

It's also a pat on their own back, they can see all the slurs they want and hate all they can, then they'll say "but the Muzzies, they're bad people, be glad you're not there with them"

Not only do they have racism, but trans subreddits are so bad at being inclusive that they also have transphobia!

If your idea of what the trans community is like came from Reddit alone, your image of trans people would end up being harshly negative.

(I may or may not be speaking from experience as a former black non-binary Redditor who did, in fact, browse trans subreddits.)
