Not to boths sides it or whatever but why do they both use this rhetoric when the other guy is in office? During the height of the pandemic when shelves were empty a lot of people were like "this is what america would look like under socialism" but like my dude, this is what it's like NOW.
But also fuck both sides. Joe is just as much of a loser as Donald.
That was the first thought that crossed my mind and all I could think thereafter was, "My god, they really are blue MAGA".
this is what america would look like under socialism
I see way too many of these on Instagram. My brother in Christ, you are literally living in the Mecca of capitalism, this is what your system looks like.
To further expand on this, it also cracks me up when people say "communism sounds good on paper but it will never work". Like motherfucker, capitalism doesn't even make sense on paper but we doing it, aren't we? Someone explain unlimited growth with limited resources to me please.
Can you explain what "Mecca of capitalism" implies? I don't understand the metaphor.
Counterpoint: when this stuff happened under Trump we were just getting a taste of America under Biden
Can we at least have some of the fun extras, like actually disbanding NATO bc "other members aren't spending enough on defense"?
Wow, it's really hard to tell. I mean libs are out there saying you need to vote for 99% Hitler unironically
You can never be sure…there are people that think that they hold massively different views, and that Biden is some kind of hard left authoritarian.
One day, somebody is gonna reboot The Andy Griffith Show and its gonna be wild.
It's been a wild 12 months, to go from joking about enlightened centrists libs doing the "what about some genocide" thing, to seeing them actually do it completely unironically, to see them go to "well our genocide is better than the other guy's genocide" to...this. Did the lead poisoning or microplastics have some kind of big Sundowning moment that just effected the whole country in the last few months or something? It's been wild to see these alleged "centre-left/I'm as left as they come but..." types behave like this.
