those poor widdle nazis :cri: mistreated by those soviet meanies for no reason
Why would Soviet women be particularly hostile to Nazis?
I guess we'll never know.
The soviets were too mean towards Nazis who literally attempted to genoicide them!!!
I looked up the last one and yep, that Austrian guy was in the SS (and joined its predecessor group in 1933, helping Hitler get into power. No excuses for that POS).
I'd never claim we spend too much time dunking on :billionaire-tears: but maybe we've been letting :lord-bezos-amused: off a bit too easy
Seriously though, didn't expect the others to be even more sympathetic to literal nazis than Seven Years in Tibet but I certainly should have
:agony-shivering:
:bottom-speak: :top-use-words: "Assume the position, prisoner. I've been informed there may be contraband in this cell."
Smh you leftists always seem to support minority representation in media until that minority is oppressed Nazis.
The west's greatest regret is that they ended up fighting on the wrong side of WWII. Instead they ended up fighting with the dirty commies and now they have to construct an ideology where they have to reconcile the belief on the one hand that nazis were an uniquely evil freak occurrence with on the other hand being constantly drawn towards Nazi ideology as it represents the material interests of the west's ruling class.
Well that same medai is ownerd and ran by Nazis so what do you expect?
:amerikkka:
I've seen an increasing number of books written from the perspective of Nazis now, too. The last one was just before christmas in a branch of Waterstones; some historical fiction about the battle of Stalingrad... Edit
Oh yeah, there was this tv docu series about tank battles, something like histories biggest tank battles or something, I can't remember, but Desert Storm was one of the stories (or maybe it was Iraqi Freedom?). They had this American soldier as a talking head, and he mentioned how they had a picture of Heinz Guderian hung up either in their tank or back at base. They captured a POW during the battle and this Iraqi guy was like "why the fuck do you have a picture of a Nazi on your wall? Weren't you guys on different sides?" and the yankee had to come up with some bullshit about how he only respects Guderian for his development of tank battle tactics or something.
I haven't watched it in years but there is a movie called Stalingrad from the perspective of the Nazis. I'm sure I'm remembering it wrong but what I remember is three hours of the Nazis dying in the most miserable fashion imaginable until the handful of survivors wander out of the city with no supplies to freeze to death.
Haha I remember that one, where they're starving and the supply drop is just full of medals. Good times
The Long Walk, not mentioned here, is actually a great movie but its heroes are all Nazis who resent the fact that they’ve been gulag’d. It’s also a true story which was completely made up.
Das Boot, also great, is about a bunch of Nazis who were “just following orders.”
To its credit, Schindler’s List shows the Soviets liberating Jews, except it’s actually just one Soviet soldier walking up to Schindler’s factory and being like: “lol everyone hates you guys everywhere, I don’t know what the fuck to do, maybe you should go do a genocide in Palestine, idk.”
