It's "Jodorowsky's Dune within Marvel," film’s writer says.

    That's an Onion headline.

    Edit

The writer has a way with words...

I read the article, how exactly is this movie like Jodorowsky's Dune?

I'm completely unfamiliar with the ant-man stuff, the author goes and compares the two films then spends 3 paragraphs talking about how ant-man is a movie about reconnecting families a and trauma?

So a meta-textual film about another film not being made is the same as an upcoming comic book movie about the quantum realm? I am really lost here.

how exactly is this movie like Jodorowsky’s Dune?

Well, its a series of images played at a rapid speed across a screen to create the illusion of action. And it comes with a synchronized series of sounds to provide an even more immersive experience. In this way, its also comparable to Citizen Kane or Nosferatu, two other classic films of their respective genres.

ant-man is a movie about reconnecting families and a trauma?

In so far as it will be released around Valentines Day and you'll be forced to explain to your spouse why we didn't go to see a better film.

So a meta-textual film about another film not being made is the same as an upcoming comic book movie about the quantum realm?

Depends on what Disney decides to ax for tax reasons inside the next month. Perhaps he's working on a second film documenting this first film.

Man who really wants to make an expensive art film wherein he blows up some animals 'for the scene' is instead stuck making a CGI Marvel movie.
