Good news: The Great Salt Lake is going to dry up in a few years and turn Salt Lake City in to a toxic hellhole unsuitable for human life.

as disgusting and terrible as this is, i hope it happens. it could hopefully serve as a "quick" and consumable demonstration of how serious climate devastation is and will be for the future

this take is pretty acceleration in a way but i sincerely don't mean it like that or don't want to. everything just seems hopeless every time i look at how fucked the climate is

Utah isn't even in my top five states that need banning.

Let me know when we've dealt with South Dakota, South Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and Florida.

Hingepoints episode idea: Utah never gets statehood, but becomes essentially a Mormon reservation.

Can we still keep Zion Natl Park? I have very fond memories of that place

People who don't live in Utah might not know this but plastic surgery is REALLY popular here. Lots of 16-18 year old girls getting breast augs for their birthdays. Curiously no one is calling that a mutilating surgery and seeking to ban it.
