Did you not see the Showtime series from a decade ago? It was really good. Albeit the sex scenes got a bit tedious in the end.

Wanna see a gladiator movie. But a realistic one where it is roman WWE. I wanna see the "Netter of young maidens in the night" fuck up a match because they sedated the tiger he was supposed to fight too much and accidentally really killed the expensive animal. So now he has to come up with a gimmick to please his patron and let him take the day off during Carne off to bang the rich nobleman he is into.

It did very well at the time. I remember it being okay. It was a late 90s movie.
