The phrasing couldn't be worse, lol.
Oh shit it's being developed by Insomniac. That could actually be really rad. Wolverine is my favorite Marvel character.
Wolverine is by far the coolest character Marvel has come up with, and he works really well with darker and gorier tones too than others. Yeah, I'm pretty psyched for this too.
I love the comics that follow him through history as he is basically immortal and just goes around looking for fights ending up in every major war ever from feudal Japan to WWII
Feudal Japan? Wouldn't it have been the Meiji-era by the time he was born?
pessimism
I wonder if they re-used previous gore assets or they decided they needed to traumatize a fresh batch of developers with 8 hour shifts watching grievous wound videos.
It’s a marvel tie in game. They’re not putting that much effort into it
Dead Space Dev when asked by EA to pull another all-nighter watching car crash videos to model horribly disfigured zombie-aliens: :debord-tired:
Let me know when there’s a mod that replaces wolverine with Danny DeVito
I assume they're trying to refer to the movie rating, but that's just wrong in the first place. It's a movie rating, the game rating is M.
They definitely are, and I get they mean like firmly R rating and not marginal. But, I've never heard someone refer to those as "hard-R" movies? Also, I feel there are no marginally R-rated movies, usually some bean counter is gonna make it into a 14A movie if it's even close.
I've definitely heard it used to distinguish movies with a lot of no-no words from movies with people being gruesomely disemboweled or what-have-you.
Check the quotations on Wiktionary for some real-world uses.
That's why it's in quotes, it can't literally get an R rating
And probably more people are familiar with film ratings
"Hard R" referring to movie ratings is a term that's been around for a while, but yeah it's one that should probably be retired.
Considering how violence, profanity and boobs are on broadcast TV these days, does a hard R mean Wolverine dong?
