Several legal advocacy groups on Monday filed a whistleblower complaint on behalf of a nurse at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center documenting “jarring medical neglect” within the facility, including a refusal to test detainees for the novel coronavirus and an exorbitant rate of hysterectomies being performed on immigrant women.
This is horrifying, but I feel this is just scratching the surface of what Trump turned the ICE "Deportation" operation into.
I'm genuinely terrified that people are being executed at these ICE camps... how can the level of arrests go up so much, while actual removals from the country have gone down by 10s of thousands since 2016?

I have the arrest + removal data, I want to put that together with the number detained before making a post. That is something I didn't look into when I was checking the numbers last time, and I want to make sure it's possibly something before posting... even though I don't even know if the "currently detained" numbers could be trusted if my suspicion is even close to true.

if you assume the numbers from the Obama years are accurate (they were bragging about it then), you can get a decent sense of how accurate the currently detained numbers are? I also wouldn't be surprised if watchdog groups are publishing their own figures that everyone is ignoring...
