It pains me so much to say but tell me you can’t immediately picture Trump giving a press conference while standing in the vinyl chloride burn pit, sipping on a Diet Coke and asking people about the water pressure on their toilet hookup. Instead we get to talk about balloons all day.

Once again Dems tossing up multiple unforced errors in a way that almost has to be intentional.

Love seeing yet another bulletproof argument for labor and infrastructure reform handed over to the right so they can pad their “working man” credentials. You already have the regular blue maga sycophants bending over backwards to call anyone mentioning dioxins or the rail strike an unhinged conspiracy theorist.

Woah, woah, slow down! We need to assign a working group to assess cost-benefit on the committee research process.

you know they're going to run Mayo Pete for prez and specifically list his absolutely milquetoast nothingburger response to this as part of his bonafides.

"I was on the phone with the rail companies right away and we were hammering out an agreement to make sure this kind of thing happens less often in the future, because let me be clear, the shape of our non-binding business agreements is the issue that affects all of our other issues."

Trump wouldn't go anywhere near that shit. He'd just tweet about how the train conductor might have been a democrat and we need to get rid of trains.

He would maybe go and do something tasteless like when he threw paper towels at people in Puerto Rico after the earthquake.

Like I could see him passing out McNuggets in Ohio. These are also MAGA people, so he’d be more likely to go since they’d be happy to see him; it would basically be a rally.

This was my exact thought yeah. He also doesn’t know jack shit about anything, he fucking stared into the sun on live tv when the eclipse was happening.

He would go because the people there are his base or what he thinks is his base. He would just listen to what the railroads say about safety and have no problem the dude is oblivious to that kind of harm.

No Trump would mess this up too. He doesn't actually care about these people. He would fuck up like he fucked up in puerto rico with the hurricane

But we'd have a beautiful scene where he throws HAZMAT suits at Ohio residents like they're winning a game show.

Of course he would, and of course he doesn’t care. But he’d still be down there like he was with puerto Rico

Those people were brown and can't vote for him if they wanted to. Most of his base thinks they're an independent country.

we're seeing lots of newfound or renewed (and welcome) in our work on rail safety

Why is he talking about rail safety like its an old obscure indie band that people are rediscovering?

He’d been deliberately silent on twitter since the derailment after posting regularly otherwise. Has to address all the people screaming at him online.

I think you can say there’s no difference between democrats and republicans but I realize dems probably don’t show up because when they do it means actually doing something even if it’s feckless and small. So they can’t even risk doing that and kneecap themselves.

Republicans don’t have that shame, they can have the photo op, say there’s an announcement coming in 2 weeks to fix this whole mess, and go on about their business killing everyone while newsmax puts out that “this wouldn’t have happened if the woke mob didn’t need vinyl chloride to make everyone trans” or whatever they’d come up with.

Because they know that this works. The hog in the replies outright says she's happy with the government pretending to care. And Dems can't even deliver on that, because then they may win majorities that allow them to do something that could temporarily cause a minor inconvenience to capital while stabilizing the system long-term.

What a joke of a country.

According to the people working at that school, via Michael Moore, the only water that was hooked up in that building was the toilets. The only possible place it would have come from is outside. But Obama was still paranoid enough to take that kind of sip.

It was all show. He isn’t going to gulp the thing down. He’s gotta take this tiny sip to say see I’m a bit worried, but it’s safe. That shit came directly from what ever fresh water source they give the president.

"Folks, we've done it, this is the greatest vinyl chloride concentration ever! The losers, they said I couldn't survive this much Phosgene, but here I am. Look at that big beautiful plume folks, we're finally getting some attention to real Americans from the haters, the losers in the media, aren't we folks?

He might throw towels at them from a helicopter. As far as I can remember he never really bothered with any photo ops. If anything he showed complete contempt for the misfortune of his hogs, like when he left a mob of them out in the middle if nowhere after a rally with no return transit.

CIA in shambles as their attempt to get an easy Guy(tm) into office is ruined by the fact they have hollowed out the country as a resource extraction hive (just like his work studying mineral deposits in Afghanistan which he had a map in his living room of for some reason)
